About Us

Sudbury Cedar Fence Co. started with Paul Brown teaching woodworking to his students at Clearway School in Newton, MA, making outdoor cedar furniture in 1982. When Paul and his wife, Cheryl, attended a local craft fair to raise money for the school, a customer asked them to repair his cedar fence. Soon after, Cheryl went to the library to research the installation of a fence. What began as a small project soon turned into a trusted local fence business, thanks to Paul’s craftsmanship and Cheryl’s business background.

Their three children were raised helping out and learning the value of a family business. Their son, Rich, joined in 2003 and started by digging holes. A skilled tradesman and hard worker, Rich now runs the show, keeping the same core values of hard work and doing right by people.

We’ve grown from cedar wood fences to offering vinyl, aluminum, and chain link. As a local business, we’re proud to serve Sudbury and nearby communities with honest service and quality work.
