For this Wayland homeowner, we designed and installed an elegant decorative cedar board fence that provides both structure, beauty, and privacy.
Project Goals
The homeowners wanted a fence that marked their property line without creating a closed off look. Our solution was a decorative board fence with a 4.5 foot solid panel base and a 1.5 foot lattice top, adding height and texture while allowing light and airflow. The new fence complements the landscaping and plantings. It’s a timeless design that suits both historic and modern homes alike.

Craftsmanship Notes
The crew at Sudbury Cedar Fence took great care to align the lattice pattern perfectly from one section to the next. The fence installation is designed to follow the land’s slope, using a stepped approach. Each post is topped with a colonial cedar cap, and the lattice sections are framed with routed trim for added strength and a refined appearance. Additionally, a cedar board at the bottom of each panel completes the framing, enhancing both stability and aesthetics.
